Certified Sites

The Certified Business Site Program identifies sites best suited for business, industrial or mixed-used developments and prepares them for acquisition. What’s more, these sites are classified as 180-day development-ready, ensuring tight timelines remain on schedule.

A Certified Site listing indicates the land has undergone an extensive review process, which includes everything from environmental studies, soil analyses and surveys to zoning restrictions and authenticity documentation. This due diligence ensures that all aspects of the site meet compliance regulations, ultimately delivering a property primed for development.

Location Partner Tools

South Louisiana also offers other location analysis resources to assist in the site selection process. Links to our utility and economic development partners below provide access to these databases.

Certified Site Success Stories

The company will invest up to $1.1 billion in the facility, which will produce high-performance photovoltaic (PV) solar modules.

SafeSource is investing $150 million to develop the facilities, with $77 million dedicated to the development of a new 400,000-square-foot manufacturing facility located at the Spanish Trail Industrial Park Site – a site certified through Louisiana Economic Development in 2020.
